ATM skimming vs the 220 baht fee?

People call every extra number a scam. 220 is a Thai-bank foreign-card fee. A cloned card is a different product.

Bank lobby. Cover the PIN. 220 on the screen is a fee. A plastic overlay is not. I would not use a machine in a dark bar soi at 01:00.

I will look for a bank lobby. If I land late I would rather the taxi desk than a mystery machine in arrivals as my whole plan.

After DMK I wanted baht. I still would not hand the card to a helpful stranger. Lobby. PIN covered.

US, 6 Sep. I will decline conversion and cover the PIN. I needed 220 and skim as two sentences.

I have a booking. If I need cash for a taxi I still want a bank machine, not a hall helper. Same energy as not following a laminated card.
