Meet people with care

You cannot message a stranger from a cold profile. Connect is a request. Chat opens between people who are connected. That pause is the point — it gives both people a chance to look before they talk.

• Profiles and posts can be reported from the page itself.
• Face verification is optional and uses a live check, not a photo from the camera roll.
• Your verification video is never shown on your public profile.

• Read the profile. A thin bio and no posts is not a reason to refuse — but it is a reason to go slowly.
• Prefer people who write like a person. Copy-paste charm and money talk are the usual tells.
• You do not owe anyone a yes.

Stay in MeetLocale until you are sure. In-app chat leaves a record if you need to report, and it keeps your number and social accounts private until you choose to share them.

MeetLocale does not organize, host, or insure meetups. If you meet someone, you do so as two adults making your own plan.

• Choose a public, well-lit place you can leave easily — a cafe, lobby, or busy market.
• Tell a friend where you are going and when you expect to be back.
• Make your own way there and back. Do not get in a private car on a first meeting.
• You can leave at any time. You do not need a reason.

A verified badge means the person completed a live face check in the app. It means they showed up as a real face on a live camera. It does not mean we have checked their criminal record, passport, or intentions.

Use Report on a profile, post, or thread if someone is harassing you, scamming, impersonating, or breaking the guidelines. Block anyone who makes you uncomfortable — you do not need to explain it to them.

• Our team can remove content and restrict accounts.
• If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first. Then tell us.

• Anyone asking for money, gift cards, crypto, or a “small deposit”.
• A romance or investment pitch that starts on a travel app.
• Someone who will not video or meet in public after asking you to.
• A story that only works if you act today.
