Street food in Thailand without getting sick?

I want the stall. I do not want a week in the room. Health pages and “I ate everything” are not the same sentence.

Cooked to order, or walk

CDC Yellow Book (Thailand): street food can transmit travellers’ diarrhoea; cook-to-order, hot, peel fruit, bottled or sealed drinks. Fluoroquinolone-resistant bugs are noted for the region. First 72 hours is not a clinic. This is not medical advice.

Which city, and if anyone in the group is high-risk.

Busy stall, food off the wok, you watch it. I eat that. A tray in the sun is how people collect a story. I will not certify your stomach.

Ice: I still drink it at some places. That is me. CDC is the conservative page. Do not make me your clinician.

I am on bottled for the glass. The stall is a different fork. Cooked and hot. I would not start with raw garnishes the first night.

10 nights, first time. I will do hot and busy. I am not doing a raw shrimp experiment to prove a point.

Kids: sealed drinks, food that is actually hot. I am not running a CDC debate at 21:00 with two tired people.

Price is not a hygiene score. A 40-baht bowl can be fine. A 300-baht tourist grill can sit. Watch the heat.

I booked a pin first. Dinner is second. I would still pick a busy soi over a dark bucket of cut fruit.

DMK landing at 01:00 is not a street-food night. Sealed. The stall is tomorrow in daylight.

Same heat rule in Chiang Mai. Different city, same tray-in-the-sun problem. I would not start with nam prik you cannot see being made.

US, 6 Sep. I am screenshotting CDC, not a TikTok. Hot food. Bottled. I can get brave later.

Resistant bugs are the CDC line people skip. This is not “take Cipro from a Facebook post.” Read the page. I am not a doctor.
