Does travel insurance cover a Thai scooter?

I can wear a helmet. I may not have Category A. FCDO is blunt about riding without the licence you would need at home.

Helmet thread is the plastic. This is the claim. I would not rent to “save” a policy you void on day one.

Read the cc limit too. A 125cc shop bike is still a motorcycle clause. Hostel WhatsApp is not the PDF.

Grab exists. A voided claim plus a checkpoint is how people call 1155 and their insurer in the same afternoon.

I have not rented yet. If A is missing I Grab. I would not buy a policy and then void it on a shop bike.

A 500 THB ticket is not the hospital bill. Budget the Grab. Do not budget a voided claim as “saving.”

Apply that to a jet-ski too. The PDF often hates toys. Walking away is cover you actually keep.
