Grab pin on the wrong street at BKK?

I keep seeing “the pin jumps to the public road and they cancel.” I need the pickup rule, not which app is cheaper.

Stand still on the signed zone

IfDoNot
Pin is on the kerb / public roadWalk to the marked Grab/taxi pickup. Stand stillFollowing someone who says they are “the Grab”
Driver messages a new pin in the hallSigned zone or official taxi queueA laminated card in arrivals
DMK not BKKSame tout rule, different building. No ARLPasting the Suvarnabhumi map
You have no working numberAirport Wi-Fi can get one ride if you already logged inInstalling the app in the hall as the whole plan

The midnight Grab-or-taxi thread is which car. This is the dot. BKK to the city is the rail vs car fork.

Which airport code, and if the pin is already wrong in the screenshot.

Signed pickup. Stand still. If the pin is on the public road they cancel. I have watched it. Do not follow a man with a printout.

Hotel name in the notes. A 14:00 hotel desk is a different failure. This is the kerb.

Asok as a pin is fine if you say the hotel. “Sukhumvit” is how the pin becomes a conversation.

App already logged in. The pin still has to be the signed zone. Two failures: a dead login, and a pin on the highway.

I have a hotel name for the notes. I still need the pickup to be a real zone. I would not follow someone who says they are the car.

DMK has the same cancel-if-wrong-pin story. Different airport. Say which code. Terminal 1 vs 2 at DMK.

Kids, two check-ins: taxi desk if the pin is chaos. I am not running a pin hunt with tired people.

Official taxi queue is still there if Grab is a circus. Meter. That is the other midnight thread. This one is the dot.

CNX has its own pickup chaos. Same rule: signed zone, stand still. I would not follow a printout there either.

6 Sep late. I will screenshot the signed zone on the airport site before I fly. I needed that more than a brand.

ATM in arrivals if you have zero baht — 220 is a fee. Then the signed pickup. Do not mix the two queues.
