Is walking Sukhumvit after midnight OK?

Not a 400-metre 7-11 hop. I mean 1–2 km on the main road at 00:30. People still treat “central” as a personality.

Lit road vs a soi bargain

This is not “is Thailand safe.” Embassy pages still list tourist-area transport tricks. Sleep on a noisy soi is a listing question. This one is the walk.

Which stretch (Nana / Asok / Thong Lo) and whether you have bags.

Main road with lights: I walk. Dark soi and a suitcase: I Grab. I would not write you a certificate. Tourist police 1155 if a taxi refuses the meter.

400 metres to a 7-11 is not this thread. I still Grab when I am done. 1–2 km at 00:30 I would not treat as a personality.

This is Bangkok. Chiang Mai after midnight is a different density. Do not paste it.

Embassy pages still mention tourist-area transport tricks. A meter or an app. Not a new friend with a tuk-tuk.

Short hop vs this: 400 metres you can see. 2 km at 00:30 is a car unless you like the walk. Different threads.

Patong sidewalk at 02:00 is not Sukhumvit. Do not import island folklore.

Kids, bags: car. I am not making a 2 km pavement the family story.

ATM on that walk: bank lobby if you can. Skimming is the other page. 220 is a fee.

I would Grab with a suitcase. I would walk without one if the road is lit. That is not bravery. That is weight.

Sleep on a loud soi is a listing problem. Walking the strip with bags is this one. Keep them apart.

If you are lost, pin the hotel. Do not collect a “local shortcut.” The scam guide is enough.
