Stay in Bangkok Old Town without BTS?

Temples are the point for two days. I keep seeing “just sleep on Khao San.” I need the transit trade, not a drone photo of a river.

The Grand Palace practical page lists MRT Sanam Chai, Exit 1 — then a walk or a short hop, not the palace gate. Skytrain is still the wrong system.

Nights, whether you need Skytrain at 08:00, and which airport. Not “near the river.”

Palace days: stay there. Mixed trip: sleep on BTS and go as a day. I would not make Khao San the temple base just because the photos are old.

Skytrain: no. That is not “no rail.” Blue Line Sanam Chai is the station. Then you walk. River boats if you like them. Tuk-tuks if you name the fare first.

ARL does not dump you at the Grand Palace. In town, Blue Line Sanam Chai, then walk. Phaya Thai is still not the palace. Plan the last bit.
