Hostel or hotel for the first night in Bangkok?

Solo, 10 nights starting late. I can sleep in a dorm later. Night one I want a door that closes.

Night one: a door. Dorm later if you want. I have watched people lose a morning to a lock that was “usually fine.”

Private hostel room is the middle. You still get a pin. You do not owe the common room at 01:00.

I would pay for the door. Walking Asok at 23:00 is enough social. I do not also need snoring.

I booked a room I could name to Grab. I would not add a hostel hunt after the last train.

Khao San hostel is a scene tax. Fine if that is the night. A weak base if tomorrow is BTS.
