Can I tap a credit card on the Airport Rail Link?

This is not “is Grab cheaper.” If you land after the last City Line, you are not tapping anything. Check the board first.

Card network (Visa/MC/UnionPay) and whether the gate already spat it out. That is a useful reply.

If it beeps no, buy a token. Do not hold the gate. Last train times are the timetable post, not this one.

BTS is still Rabbit or a single ticket for most foreign cards. ARL contactless is a different sentence. People mix them at Phaya Thai.

I keep a 20 baht note for the machine. Contactless failed once and the queue behind me was not interested in my bank’s app.

Does UnionPay / AMEX tap or is it Visa/MC folklore.

Dec 2025 reports were Visa/Mastercard “widely working,” not a law. I would not bet the last train on AMEX or UnionPay. Token in the pocket either way.
