Don Mueang to the city after midnight?

AirAsia into DMK, hotel near Asok. There is no Airport Rail Link here. I do not want the BKK midnight map pasted onto the wrong airport.

No ARL. People still follow Suvarnabhumi signs in their head. Red Line or a car. Official taxi queue, meter, surcharge as posted.

Asok from DMK is a longer car than people think at 01:00. Not “closer than BKK” for Sukhumvit. Time of night wins.

BMTA airport buses exist in the daylight guides. After midnight I would not go hunting a bus bay with luggage.

Connecting DMK to a domestic at BKK is the shuttle or a paid transfer. Different question from “into town.”

Don Mueang station is a walk plus signs, not in the arrivals hall the way ARL is in the BKK basement. Follow Red Line, not “airport train” in English from a 2018 blog.
