iPhone, no physical tray. Airalo has nothing for Syria. There are random tourist eSIM sites that look auto-generated.

Did anyone actually buy a local eSIM at DAM, or do I need a city shop?

Landed DAM a few weeks ago. Free wifi in the terminal was enough to message home. Then Syriatel and MTN booths right there. I bought a local eSIM, showed ID, paid, scanned the QR, it came up immediately. Phone has to be unlocked. Around 200,000 old pounds, way less than those tourist sites.

Airalo / Nomad have a blank page for Syria. The random 3-day tourist eSIM websites are junk, I would not.

Cousin got a Syriatel eSIM. Someone told me MTN stopped doing eSIM for a while. I would ask at the booth which one is actually selling today, not last month's news.

If you come overland there is no booth. City service centre, ID, same QR thing.
