CNY and March school holidays worst — Jonker shoulder-to-shoulder, hotels 2x, chicken rice sells 11am. August weekend SG drive crowds heavy but manageable vs CNY. Fri long weekends PLUS jam both directions. Weekday anytime calmer. Deepavali and Hari Raya also busy. Book Nancy's and hotel early peak periods. Rainy afternoons Nov–Jan fewer street stalls but less crush.
