Split if you have 10 days — Krabi 5 for Railay/4 Islands/Phi Phi logistics, Koh Lanta 5 for slow island vibe and empty beaches. Ferry Ao Nang area to Lanta ~2–3 hrs (seasonal). Krabi-only fine if tours not relaxation. Lanta-only skips Railay drama. Minivan Krabi Town to Lanta 400 baht. Don't day-trip Lanta from Ao Nang — too far. Families often prefer Lanta south; party seekers stay Ao Nang.
