Kapitan on Chulia is worth one wait — queue looks long but service is fast (15–25 min), rice plus two curries RM12–18. Go before 7pm or after 10pm to shrink it. Hamid Nasi Kandar on Penang Rd is the rival — shorter line, different gravy style, equally legit. Line Clear is 24h legend for post-bar — not refined, hits the spot. If you hate queues, Hameediyah on Campbell St is sit-down halal with no circus. Nasi kandar is messy eating — embrace fingers or spoon, napkins provided.

Thursday Kapitan busiest — Muslim weekend eve. Tuesday calmer.

Line looked brutal, moved in 15 min. Rice + fish + veg RM14, incredible.
