Penang National Park — Turtle Beach day hike?

Penang National Park (northwest tip) — register free at the park office, start before 8am to beat heat. Monkey Beach is ~1.5–2 hours one way on marked trail — doable without guide if you carry water (2L+) and wear proper shoes. Turtle Beach is further (~3+ hours one way) — most day hikers skip it and do Monkey Beach + boat return (RM50–80 negotiated at beach). Alternative: park boat direct to Monkey Beach if trail too much. Grab from GT to park entrance ~45 min, RM35–45. Leeches possible after rain — long socks help. Not a food trip day — pack snacks.
