The Penang ferry (Pengkalan Weld to Butterworth) costs about RM1.20 for pedestrians — 15–20 min crossing, classic harbour views of GT skyline and port cranes. Half day is enough: ferry over, coffee near Butterworth terminal, optional quick look at the old railway station mural area, ferry back.
