Still worth it — hawkers operate under cover and rain rarely kills a food trip. Do murals and Chew Jetty before noon, heavy laksa lunch indoors, then New Lane at 7pm when drizzle often clears. Afternoon storms are usually 1–2 hour bursts, not all-day washouts. Batu Ferringhi beach is pointless in storms — skip the coast that week. Pack a compact umbrella; Ferringhi night market is soggy misery in downpours.

Rain didn't kill our trip — just shifted New Lane to 7pm when drizzle stopped.

Chew Jetty slippery when wet — skip in heavy rain.
