One free day, no car. Heard Melaka is 2 hours — which terminal and how early to leave?

Buses to Melaka (Malacca) run from TBS — Terminal Bersepadu Selatan — reached via LRT Kelana Jaya line to Bandar Tasik Selatan. Transnasional and Delima depart every 30–60 minutes, RM12–15 one-way, about 2 hours to Melaka Sentral. Book online at easybook or buy at counter — first bus around 7am, last return around 8pm. Leave KL by 7:30am to get 6–7 hours there: Jonker Walk, Dutch Square, river cruise. Grab within Melaka is cheap. Day trip is tight but doable; stay overnight if you want night market and less rush. Friday afternoon buses fill with weekenders — buy ahead.

TBS (Terminal Bersepadu Selatan) — LRT to Bandar Tasik Selatan station, same building. Transnasional bus RM12–15, left at 7:30am, back 6pm bus.

KL Sentral has some coaches too but TBS has more frequency. Don't confuse with KTM train — that's slower route.
