Realistic as a long day trip but start by 7:30am from KL. Drive or Grab is 45–75 minutes to Awana SkyWay station (traffic on weekends can double that). Cable car up takes 10 minutes — buy tickets online to skip the worst queue. Budget 10–12 hours door to door: 2h travel each way, 3–4h on the hill. Skip it if you only have 2 full days in KL — Batu Caves and towers are easier. Bus option: catch a Genting coach from KL Sentral or Habib Bus Terminal — cheaper (around RM15–25) but fixed schedule. Cloud cover often hits after 2pm, so morning views are better. Bring a jacket — it's 10°C cooler up top.
We tried — left BB at 8am, reached Genting by 10am after traffic. Kids loved the cable car but theme park queues ate the afternoon. Back by 7pm exhausted.
