Two people, planning monorail + maybe one LRT trip to Batu Caves. Or just buy single tokens each time?

Yes for 4 days if you'll ride monorail or LRT more than 4 times total — the card costs RM10–15 (includes refundable deposit at some outlets) and saves queuing at token machines during rush hour. Works on monorail, LRT, MRT, and some buses. Top up RM20–30 at 7-Eleven or the Touch 'n Go kiosks in Nu Sentral. For two people, get two cards — sharing one is awkward at the gates. Single tokens are fine if you're only doing 2–3 rides and the rest is Grab. The card also works at highway tolls if you rent a car later.

Bought one at KL Sentral for RM15 including RM5 deposit. Topped up RM20, still had balance on day 4. Both of us tapped the same card — technically one card one person but staff never cared for short trips.

Tourist Touch 'n Go exists at airport convenience stores sometimes — same thing, don't overpay for "special edition" cards.
