Kampung Baru night market (Grab from BB about RM12–15, 10 min) — nasi lemak, ayam percik, proper Malay food, not mall replicas. Jalan Alor has halal stalls too — look for the halal sign on each cart, not just the street. Hutong in Lot 10 is mixed; stick to Malay or Indian counters with a halal cert displayed. Village Park in Bangsar is worth a breakfast Grab ride if you want famous nasi lemak without the tourist markup on Jalan Alor.

Brickfields (Little India) near KL Sentral — banana leaf, roti canai, plenty halal. Worth a lunch trip if you're bored of BB.

Village Park is famous for nasi lemak — short Grab ride. Queue at peak breakfast but moves fast.
