Thaipusam Tamil calendar Jan/Feb — Batu Caves millions of devotees, processions, closures normal. Avoid with small kids or claustrophobia unless intentional pilgrimage. Normal days 7:30am fine. Check exact date yearly — hotel prices spike. Komuter packed 24hrs Thaipusam. Any other week January OK morning visit.
