Inside moat guesthouses (800–1,500 baht) win for temple walks and Sunday market — quieter at night, some lack pools. Nimman boutiques (1,200–2,000 baht) win for food and work cafes, plane noise trade-off. At 1,200 baht look Tha Phae east side or Santitham — middle ground. Check A/C and hot water in budget moat places. Parking nightmare both — don't need car in CM.
