Bang Tao / Laguna — worth it over Kata?
Resort package with toddler pool. Will we feel trapped without a car? 5 nights.

Bang Tao / Laguna is resort-land — great pools, golf, Boat Avenue restaurants, but you're not walking to hawker culture. Grab to Kata/Patong 250–400 baht, 20–30 min. Worth it if you want calm luxury and kid clubs; skip if food adventure is the point. Rent car optional — parking easy in resorts, driving to Old Town 40 min. Many families do 3 nights Laguna + 2 Kata split. Beach at Bang Tao quieter than Patong, less surf for kids.

Laguna bubble is nice but we Grabbed to Kata for variety — 250 baht each way.
