Karon north end or Nai Harn beach — calmer than Promthep Cape parking circus. Windmill viewpoint near Ya Nui has fewer tour buses. Arrive 30 min before sunset; Promthep is packed 5:30–6:30pm with coaches. Rawai pier good for seafood dinner after golden hour — east coast, less swimming. Kata Noi cliff path works with supervised kids. Skip Promthep if your children hate crowds.
